We encourage all of our students to become involved in a variety of activities related to our school life. Many of our clubs are listed here, but there are even more to help meet the interests of all our students. Our faculty and staff are committed to maintaining a rich variety of activities and work closely with the student body to assess their needs and desires.
Many clubs sponsor events, contests or performances, while others create publications which are distributed throughout the St. Joseph community. The Amaranth Staff publishes a yearly publication of literary excellence and the Cadet Courier provides a student newspaper. The Drama Club sponsors performances in the fall and winter and the Debate Club holds monthly contests.
Many of these activities serve as additional preparation for the college environment by allowing students to refine existing or develop unique skills. Some clubs also work directly to promote and maintain the general welfare of the school and help prospective students see the many benefits of a St. Joseph education. The Student Council combines the talents of students and faculty to promote school morale while the Student Ambassadors and Freshman Guides work with potential students. The Future Teachers of America teach CCD and other special classes.
Clubs such as the Model UN, the Lawyers Club, and the Spanish National Honor Society are active throughout the area, the state and beyond. Our Yearbook Club has been producing the Spectrum for 32 years and has won numerous awards in the New England region.
St. Joseph is very proud of the wide range of 'extra-curricular' activities we offer our student community, and is continually working to further expand the many unique opportunities available.
