Application Process
St. Joseph High School admits all qualified students and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, and/or national or ethnic origin.
Request an application either by using the online Inquiry Form, or by telephoning the Admissions Office at (203)378-9378. Complete the application and return it to St. Joseph High School (Attn: Admissions) along with the non-refundable $100 testing and application fee before the exam on October 30, 2010. Once your application and the fee have been received, you are automatically registered for the entrance exam.
A parent or guardian must sign the release form at the bottom of two recommendation forms. Bring the recommendation forms to your junior high. A recommendation must be completed by a Math and an English teacher at your 8th grade school. Each form should then be given to the Guidance Office so your transcripts can be released to St. Joseph High School. The Guidance Department must have the completed form with the signed release in order to send your transcripts to SJHS. Transcripts include all of the following:
- A copy of the final 6th grade report card
- A copy of the final 7th grade report card
- A copy of the 1st quarter grade 8 report (when it becomes available)
- The most current standardized testing
- Two completed recommendation forms (from a Math and a Language Arts teacher)
