This year will be the 36th year for the Courier, which provides a
student perspective towards school news, sports, and activities.

The Cadets for Life promote the pro-life cause at St. Joseph High
School. We espouse a particular concern for the innocent unborn and the

- Chess Club
- Debate Club
The debate club is open to all SJHS students who share a love for
debating current topics. Students will meet once a month to plan thier
debate, (teams, topics, etc.). The monthly debate will follow a

The Future Teachers Club meets monthly to hear speakers from education fields, helps teachers in grades K-12 by volunteering, teaches CCD or other special classes, conducts polls on education issues and share their career interests with each other. Read More >

The guitar club is open to students who play guitar and would like the
opportunity to dicuss popular music and learn how to play various
songs with the input of other club members. This is also an outlet for

Members meet monthly to discuss historical
topics picked by the students. Members also discuss the local,

The Math Club is open to all students who have a love for math and

Students gather to watch the best contemporary, classic, foreign, and
domestic films. After the films, students discuss the movie, its
underlying message, and how the message is portrayed through effects,

The Writing Center is a student-centered learning, resource, and study
environment for students to obtain and seek help concerning writing
expository essays, creative assignments, and research/term papers for

The Yearbook is currently working on its 2010 publication. Following Columbia University School of Journalism’s ideas, concepts and format, the Spectrum continues to be one of New England’s award winning premier high school medalist yearbooks.
