Congratulations to Jessica Lauren Bonvicini Adriel '94 who just published a new book, "The One Way Writer". This is Jessica's fourth book for her career and we join her in celebrating this accomplishment.
The Get In Touch Foundation, founded by Mary Ann Wasil '82, hosted it's inaugural New York City "Cocktails and Cabaret" event on February 21, 2013, at the Yale Club to a sold out crowd. Funds raised at the event support the mission of the Get In Touch Foundation - to encourage gals of all ages to get in touch with their bodies, information, and each other, in their crusade against breast cancer.
The evening showcased the talents of Jim Ferris '84, currently appearing on Broadway's "The Lion King," as MC, and with his wife, Erin McGuire, and several of their Broadway friends, they entertained the crowd with a Broadway revue and a special guest appearance by Broadway legend Ben Vereen. If you'd like to be invited to the 2014 NYC event, or any other Get In Touch regional events, sign up at getintouchfoundation.org.
Congratulations to Mary Ann on her book "A Diary of Healing" now available on Amazon.com

Alyssa Antonucci '07 is preparing for a very exiting Spring and Summer season with her business Beads by Alyssa. Over the past year Alyssa has reached new heights as a 23 year old small business owner. Not only has she donated pink bracelets to the breast cancer survivors participating Seymour Pink's Pounding the Pavement for Pink 5K this past fall; but, has also sent bracelets to some of our troops in the United States Army and Marine Corps serving over seas. This past fall Alyssa’s bead creations have also been a part of raffles her SJHS 2007 reunion. Her bracelets are currently being sold at The Mad Hatter Botique in Seymour, Connecticut, as well as, Couture Fitness studio in Milford, Connecticut. While preparing for the busy craft season ahead, BBA's new collection of "Creamsicle" beads have recently been featured in the New England fashion and lifestyle online blog, Vineyard Love Knots. Even Rachel Ray, has her own Beads by Alyssa, which were given to her by a family member on the set of her daytime talk show. While anticipating the warm craft season, Alyssa keeps busy creating and selling unique and custom order bachelorette and bridal party bracelets. BBA was a vendor at Quinnipiac University's main campus this past February, a feat she has been aspiring to reach for over a year. Alyssa's aspirations to reach new goals and never give up all while "being unique" are accredited to her father's perseverance, hopefulness and strength she so admired while he so valiantly tried to fight his battle with cancer “never giving up” unto his final days. One of her greatest achievements yet is having her bracelets being sold in The Boutique at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.

Congratulations to David Hoha '71 on his promotion and relocation to Juniper, FL! David will be Florida Aircraft Factory Operations (FAFO) Engineering Manager. David has travelled throughout 56 countries for short bursts of time (3 month stints) during his time at Sikorsky Aircraft but always ended up in CT. "It will be a big change in my life, my families lives as I leave them as well as close friends and the wonderful group from the class of 71 that have rekindled relationships from 40 years ago. There is a lot to miss but there is a lot to experience in this new work environment and I am only a few hour flight away".
"It was very exciting when we saw the smoke come out of the chimney and realized it wasn't turning black. The thousands of people gathered in St. Peter's Square started moving quickly toward the front of the piazza to get a good look at the new pope when he appeared. When they announced his name, there was a moment of confusion because no one around me seemed to know who he was. Soon after, a man appeared on the balcony of St. Peter's in a white cassock who I had never seen before. But the one thing I did know was that this was the new Holy Father, who the cardinals, guided by the Holy Spirit, had elected to lead the Church. And suddenly everyone was clapping and shouting 'Viva il papa!' Before he gave the crowd his first blessing, he asked us to spend a moment in silent prayer for him. And for over a minute the massive crowd was completely silent. It was a very powerful moment, one that I'll never forget."
I'll be ordained a priest in May (Memorial Day weekend at St. Theresa's in Trumbull). Deacon John Connaughton'94

On October 7, 2012 Austin Phillips '04 will be running the Chicago Marathon on behalf of the ALS Association. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a fatal neuromuscular disease that can strike anyone without warning. Every 90 minutes someone in this country will be diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes someone will lose their battle against this devastating disease. Currently, there is no cure, and the only recourse for patients is death. My fundraising goal for this cause is $1500. Contributions can be made here: http://web.alsa.org/site/TR/Walks/Chicago?px=3420704&pg=personal&fr_id=8540. Any help is appreciated!
