Please follow the checklist below to ensure your completed application and supporting documents are received for review by the admission committee.

You may complete these application steps in any order! Our team will track all documents received for your application and keep you in the loop about what is still outstanding. You do not have to wait to submit one item without having another.

Student Essay

The St. Joseph High School application for the Class of 2028 requires a student admission essay. Your admission essay is an essential element of your application because it allows you to showcase your personal insight, communication skills, self-reflection and character. Please choose ONE of the three Class of 2028 Application Essay Topics to write about:

Discuss a situation where you had to make a difficult ethical decision. What factors did you consider, and how did you determine the right course of action? What did this experience reveal about your values and integrity?
Describe a volunteer experience or community service project that has been meaningful to you. How has this experience influenced your perspective on the world and your sense of social responsibility?
Share a personal accomplishment that you are particularly proud of. What challenges did you face along the way, and what qualities or strengths did you rely on to achieve success? How has this accomplishment influenced your self-confidence and personal growth?

Entrance Exam

The High School Entrance Exam (HSPT) is required of all freshmen applicants. St. Joseph High School receives student applications from over 75 middle schools! Entrance Exam scores are used as a uniform measurement for all applicants to assist with admission review, scholarship selection, and curriculum placement.

If you have applied to St. Joes, you've already paid to take your exam at SJ! Sign up to take your Entrance Exam (High School Placement Test) at St. Joseph High School on Saturday, October 28 or November 11 below.

Application Steps:

Visit Facts Management to create your FACTS application account AFTER OCTOBER 1, 2023: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3JNZ7
Click on the prompt to begin your FACTS application. You only have to complete one FACTS application even if you have several children applying to St. Joes, or if you are applying to more than one diocesan school.
You don’t have to complete the form in one sitting. You will be given a password so you can save your FACTS application and return to finish it at any time.
You will receive instructions about submitting the required backup documents (Tax Information) via fax or scanned upload. Your documents will be handled with the highest level of security.
