St Joe's Remote Learning Stands Apart From the Rest

St Joseph High School School's campus closed on Friday, March 13, and we transitioned to remote learning on Monday, March 16 without skipping a beat.  We are committed to providing students with the same rigorous education they expect from a college preparatory high school. Our students will continue to be graded as though they are in the classroom and our faculty have engaged and rehearsed a learning management system that will allow us to continue our students' education during this challenge.  Click Here to View Our Remote Learning Page To See What Our Students Have Been Up To.

But don't just take our word for it. Hear what our parents are saying about St Joes' Remote Learning:

"My daughter has been totally engaged and seems to be keeping up with her teachers and all of her work. She has taken it very seriously. I believe she has learned to work independently which is so important for her future college experience. She has gym and had been working out a lot as well."

Cadets Carry On Logo

"I know (and hear) my child online, talking to teachers and classmates. I think that connection is important. She also likes the flexibility to complete assignments independently, allowing for time to chill out or get outside with the soccer ball."

Cadets Carry On Logo

"My daughter continues to learn and be challenged by her teachers. I don't / she doesn't feel like she is falling behind or just doing busy work to pass the time."

Cadets Carry On Logo

"My daughter is actually more focused to do her assignments and appears to be earning higher grades!"

Cadets Carry On Logo

"I love that there's lots of discussion between students and teachers on how things are going. Students feel comfortable voicing their concerns."

Cadets Carry On Logo

"My son is feeling very connected in all classes. It is so important that they see their classmates and teachers as much as possible. My son's teachers have done an incredible job at this. We can count on hearing my son's trumpet coming from his room everyday at the same time!!"

"My daughter has been able to continue learning at a good pace. The teachers have been really wonderful about being accessible, patient, and willing to help wherever needed. A+"

"My student has kept up with the subject matter and has meaningful assignments. Support with athletics is also very helpful. Overall, the administration is amazing and we are delighted with how easy this transition has been."

"The personal connection with students and the teachers has been great. I can't tell you how envious other school districts are that my child gets a virtual lesson not just a recording of a lesson. The consistency of morning prayer before class starts to just checking in and asking how they are doing is heartwarming. The teachers really have a relationship with these students and I am happy to hear those conversations and laughs first hand."

"Teachers have kept learning fun and engaging. They were trained well and their transition into distance learning was seamless. Their day mirrors that of their regular school day which has kept the rhythm of schoolwork. I think this experience has even helped the students to see more of the human side of teachers even at the high school level. My daughters have taken school as seriously as they would if they had been sitting in their seats. I have enjoyed hearing the rapport teachers have with the students. It is clear that they sincerely care about their students. It has been a very positive experience. Thank you for continuing to support our students each and every day."

"We appreciate that our student starts most days in Mrs Sorrentino's "Live" English class. Often, I can hear her starting the class with a prayer - during these difficult times, this is both welcome and necessary - and exactly the kind of interaction we hoped for when we chose St Joes."

"It has been great that my daughter has been able to continue to connect with teachers and classmates."
