Affording St. Joseph High School
As the largest co-ed, Catholic high school in Connecticut, St. Joes offers students in grades 9-12 unrivaled opportunities to grow and thrive as they prepare to meet the challenges of the collegiate world and beyond. When you invest in a St. Joes education, you are helping your child make the most of their high school experience, instilling within them the critical skills, ethics, initiative, and altruism that will shape their personal growth and expand their future opportunities.
Here, your child will benefit from a program that is not only faith-based and academically diligent, but also fiscally sound and well-resourced. You can be confident that there are no limits to what your son or daughter can explore and achieve as an SJ Cadet.
At St. Joseph High School, we believe that every student deserves access to a quality education. While we expect every family to contribute to their child's education, we also offer tuition assistance through need-based financial aid and academic merit scholarships. Our goal is to make our tuition affordable and accessible for all families.

This is a special place. A place where you join a family whose membership never expires. This is a community of people that will care for, nurture and remember your children.
This is a place that fills in the missing holes that a regular high school does not provide. Things like faith, respect, consequence, discipline, kindness, generosity, philanthropy.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
St. Joseph High School is committed to making education accessible. We offer two forms of financial assistance:
Need-Based Financial Aid
We provide need-based financial aid to families who qualify. The amount of aid is determined through a confidential assessment of your demonstrated financial need calculated by the the FACTS application in conjunction with available donor funds. The Average Aid Award is $5,500. FACTS applications for the 2025-2026 School Year open October 1, 2024.
Merit-Based Scholarships
Recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement, our merit-based scholarships reward incoming freshman students who demonstrate outstanding achievements and meet the highest benchmarks on the High School Placement Test. Each applicant who has submitted a completed application by November 13, 2024 is automatically considered for merit-based awards; a separate application is not required.
Applications for financial aid and scholarships are reviewed on a rolling basis. Early application is encouraged.
Initially the family atmosphere and close knit community drew us to SJ. Lauren not only was welcomed into SJ but thrived at the school posting high honors and presidents list every year and then acceptance into Williams College was the icing on the cake. If anyone is looking for a school that will not only help your kids grow but also be a great stepping stone for their next chapter and enable them to prosper and excel, SJ is the place!
