Cadets: St. Joseph High School is planning an educational tour of France and England during spring break (April 11-19, 2025)!

This is a cultural immersion tour with the intention of enriching students’ educational experience. Interested students are encouraged to join the Google Classroom page (nhrhswo). 

Please note: Space is limited. Priority registration will be given to rising seniors. Eligibility to participate requires students to maintain a commendable academic record and exhibit exemplary behavior in accordance with school standards. Interested students must demonstrate both academic diligence, personal responsibility and integrity to be considered.

TENTATIVE ITINERARY

Enjoy 9 days in France and England featuring Paris, the Loire Valley, the D-Day Beaches, Mont St. Michel,
London, Windsor and Stonehenge

  • Day 1: Departure from the USA
  • Day 2: Welcome to Paris (Walking Tour)
  • Day 3: Paris (Versailles)
    • Guided sightseeing of Paris that features the Place de l’Opera, the Place de la Concorde, the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. Enjoy visits to Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre Museum. Followed by an excursion to visit Versailles Palace.
  • Day 4: Paris-Chartres-Loire Valley
    • Visit Gothic Chartres Cathedral en route to the Loire Valley area where sightseeing includes visits to two of the area’s most beautiful castles: graceful Chenonceau and Chambord.
  • Day 5: Loire Valley-Mont St. Michel
    • Drive to the rugged Normandy Coast to visit the magical island of Mont St. Michel for an in-depth tour of its Gothic Abbey. 
  • Day 6: Mont St. Michel-D-Day Beaches
    • Ferry to England-London. Recall World War II on your journey to the D-Day Beaches. Included are visits to the American Cemetery and the Arromanches Invasion Museum. Later, board the ferry crossing the English Channel.
  • Day 7: London
    • Guided sightseeing introduces London’s most famous landmarks: Big Ben, the stately Houses of Parliament, Piccadilly Circus, Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. Visit architect Sir Christopher Wren’s St. Paul’s Cathedral and observe the colorful ceremony of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (time permitting). 
  • Day 8: London-Windsor-Stonehenge-London
    • Includes visits to Windsor Castle and the mysterious stone circles of Stonehenge.
  • Day 9: Departure

TRAVEL COSTS

The total cost for this trip is $4,350. We are asking all interested students to deposit before October 30, 2024. If parents/students book their travel by October 30, 2024, they will save $100 on the cost of the trip. This cost will cover airfare, hotel, attraction fees, breakfast, and dinner. Students are responsible for the cost of lunch each day.
