Multicultural Week at St Joes is a tradition recently started just a few years ago that continues to grow into a week-long celebration of the different cultures, ethnicities, and heritages in our school. Below, you'll find some of the wonderful activities going on from March 1-5, 2021!

Classroom & Club Activities

  • Ms Richter's students worked on mandala's, Asian Opera masks, and and Navajo pottery
  • Ms Cavaliere's students worked on “interviewing” a multicultural scientist. 
  • Mr Smith's Peer Ministry class participated in a seminar with Deacon Arthur Miller about social justice and racial inequality.
  • Mr Dempsey's history students learned about Japanese internment camps in the United States
  • The Irish Club created an Irish Wall of Blessings
  • Senora Rivera's Class had a lively discussion about the way certain foods transcend multiple cultures - especially rice & beans and rice.
