James Murano is the Class of 2024 Valedictorian! He is a well-rounded students who participates in academics and athletic activities and serves in multiple leadership roles at SJ. He's also been featured in our Fall 2023 Communique Magazine!
We asked James what his favorite memory at SJ was and he wrote, "It's hard to pick only one favorite SJ memory, but if I had to select one, it would come from my time as a member of the golf team. Most high school golf tournaments prohibit spectators, but this year’s state championship allowed them. While we weren’t expecting a cheering section, much to our surprise, our JV golf team showed up unannounced at our state tournament to cheer us on – this is just one example of the community we have here at SJ. While we ended up losing the championship by one stroke, it doesn’t diminish the hard work we, as a team, put in over the past four years to get to this point."
In the Fall, James will attend the University of Notre Dame to study mathematics and political science.
