MRS. GENTRY'S CLASS CONTRIBUTES TO UKRAINE AID
Students in Mrs. Gentry's Honors War & Literature class had just finished reading Elie Wiesel's "Night" when the war in Ukraine broke out. Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel's testament that the opposite of love isn't hatred, but indifference has been a reoccurring focus this semester. Putting their lesson into action, students quickly saw the opportunity to act in the face of injustice.
The seniors collected donations at lunch and during basketball games to raise $750 for the Ukrainian American Veterans Association. Students presented the check to Mrs. Monks, a member of the association, and her son Peter '24 last Thursday. Excellent work, Cadets!
