Monday, March 20th was Saint Joseph's Feast Day! The day provided us with an excellent opportunity for our community to connect in celebration of our Patron Saint! We are proud of and grateful for our Cadets' reverence during Mass. Bishop Caggiano's beautiful homily was the perfect reminder of the exemplary values that Saint Joseph embodied.
In celebration of St. Joseph Feast Day, the Bishop announced a special gift for our students, faculty, and staff – on Monday, March 27, there will be no classes in session! St. Joseph High School will be closed on Monday.
At the end of Mass on Monday, Erin Markut '23 was named the winner of our Image of Saint Joseph Contest - congratulations! Erin's painting can be seen on our prayer cards available in the Chapel. After Mass, our students, faculty, and staff dedicated the remainder of the school day to impactful and wide-reaching service projects! Our school community made 583 bagged lunches for Bridgeport Rescue Mission; 300 blessing bags for The Bridge Program; 125 Easter baskets for children in our community, and nearly 40 twine rosaries for the military (there are still many in progress!).
We hope our students, faculty, and staff enjoy their day off and remember to take a moment on Monday to give thanks to Saint Joseph for his ever-loving protection over our school.
St. Joseph Our Patron, Pray for Us!
