St. Joseph High School Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team Heads to Class L Championship

St. Joseph High School is proud to announce that its Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team has secured a coveted spot in the Class L Championship. Following an outstanding season (with a 12-4 record) of determination and teamwork, SJ Boys Lacrosse has emerged as a formidable force.

The journey to the championship game has been marked by stellar performances and unwavering dedication from the entire team, coaches, and staff. Having demonstrated remarkable skill and sportsmanship, the Cadets have earned the respect of their fellow students and fans alike.

The Class L Championship game promises to be an incredible showing of talent as St. Joseph High School faces off against Cheshire High School.

“The coaches and players are very excited to be playing on the last day of the season again,” remarked Head Coach, Brendan Talbot. “We all agreed to put in the commitment and effort in order to return to the state final after last year's loss. We were not aware at that time that we would be in a new 4-class system and that we would be in Class L. It would have been easy for our team to give up or complain but instead we decided to keep our goal and put in the work; and for that we are very proud of our student-athletes. We look forward to playing in the state final for the 6th time in 8 years; a great accomplishment for our program.”

SJ Supporters are encouraged to come out in full force to cheer on the team on Sunday, June 9 at 3pm at Sacred Heart University. Tickets can be purchased at gofan.co.
