Appalachia Service Project Peer Ministers

This Summer St. Joseph High School will be traveling to Appalachia to help those in need! 

St. Joseph High School in conjunction with Appalachia Service Project will be traveling to Fayetteville, West Virginia in Central Appalachia from July 14-20, 2024 to help repair homes for low-income families. Student volunteers will help with critical projects such as painting, roofing, and repairing porches and ramps. Appalachia Service Project has been helping make homes warmer, safer, and drier for families since 1969 and help over 250 families every year.

Trip Information

  • Date: July 14-20, 2024
  • Cost: $650
    • Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner
    • Cabin Lodging (by gender)
    • Transportation
  • Other Costs to consider:
    • Meals driving down and back
    • Tool kit: eye protectionhammer, measuring tape, nail apron, gloves
    • Sleeping bag needed (twin air mattress suggested)
  • Deposit Due: April 16 ($325); Second payment of $325 due May 15
